Use this service if you are transferring a medium combustion plant or a specified generator permit to yourself.
If you wish to transfer a standard rules permit, you will need to apply for a new medium combustion plant or a specified generator permit
Before you start
You need to know:
- any pre-application reference (if you have dealt with us before)
- the permit number
- your Nomenclature of Economic Activities code for the sector of your activity
- the operator's technical ability
- about management systems
- if offences affect relevant people
- if insolvency or bankruptcy affects relevant people
- what declarations to make
- our permit charges
- how to pay
We will also need to know the date you want to transfer the permit:
- for mobile plant permits, this should be at least 20 working days after the application date
- for site-based permits, this should be the date the proposed new holder will be in control of the facility
Documents to upload
You will need to upload some or all the following documents to your application.
- evidence that you are a legal body we can issue a permit to
- any current or past bankruptcy or insolvency proceedings against you
- evidence if you are claiming confidentiality or national security
- a declaration from the current permit holder(s), or evidence that you cannot trace them
Apply to transfer your permit
Timescales
Once you have submitted a complete application and paid the correct fee, we will transfer your permit within two months.
We will check your application and confirm if it is complete. If it is not complete, we may request further information from you.
