Anglesey Terns / Morwenoliaid Ynys Môn potential SPA
The Anglesey Terns / Morwenoliaid Ynys Môn potential SPA extends around most of the east, north and west coasts of Anglesey, generally from the mean high water mark out to between 10 and 20 km from the shore. It is being proposed as a marine extension to the existing SPA designated in 1992 to protect the breeding tern colonies at Ynys Feurig, Cemlyn Bay and the Skerries, to include the marine area used by the foraging terns during the breeding season. No new protected species are proposed.
