This is a student work experience opportunity which is offered to help the student(s) to gain skills, knowledge and experience.

It allows the hosting team to share their knowledge and gain experience in working with young people whilst promoting NRW and the wider environmental sector.

Tuesday to Friday, 4 days a week for 2 weeks

Key placement tasks

A great chance to go out with different Pembrokeshire teams to experience some of the variety of work and career opportunities available in the environment sector in Wales

Support Environment and Land Management teams with monitoring and maintenance work on different nature sites

 

About the placement

  • Suitable for mixed groups of GCSE students to undergraduates - over 16 yrs minimum
  • Happy to be outside in mixed weather conditions
  • Collecting and monitoring data, conservation work and site visits with various teams based at Llys Afon, Hawthorn Rise, Haverfordwest
  • Various habitats sites around Pembrokeshire, may include woodland, riverside, farmland, coast - may include rough terrain
  • Suitable all weather clothing and foot wear needed, bring pack lunches
