The role
Are you ready to play a vital role in helping people and communities prepare for the impacts of flooding? Join our Warning & Informing team at Natural Resources Wales and be part of the frontline response to climate change.
As an Advisor, you’ll help deliver and improve our flood warning service across North and Mid Wales—developing procedures, training duty officers, and supporting high-priority areas. Your work will have real impact, from helping communities understand their flood risk and prepare flood plans, to shaping our emergency response during flood events.
You’ll work with a passionate and supportive team, engaging directly with the public, professional partners and local resilience forums. This role also includes participating in our 24/7 rota as a Flood Warning Duty Officer—essential in keeping communities prepared when it matters most.
While largely home-based, you’ll have opportunities to collaborate in person at locations across North and Mid Wales. We offer a flexible working culture that helps you thrive personally and professionally.
This is your chance to join a committed team tackling the challenges of climate change head-on—and to build a rewarding career helping to protect people, property and the environment.
As an organisation we support flexible working. You will be contracted to an NRW office within the place base / location above and a suitable hybrid working pattern will be agreed on appointment. Any regular face to face meetings or training will be planned in advance.
