Ammanford flood risk mangement - draft planning application

Natural Resources Wales (NRW) is planning to deliver the Ammanford Flood Risk Management Scheme which would comprise the construction of 9 flood defences (concrete flood walls and earth bunds) in Ammanford. Further improvements would include enhanced fish passage and gauging improvements at the Tir-y-Dail Weir and landscape planting throughout the river corridor and public open green spaces such as Bonllwyn Green.

In accordance with the requirements of the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Wales) (Amendment) Order 2016 we have provided draft copies of the full planning application.

From 11 January to 9 February 2021, we are seeking your feedback on these development proposals prior to the submission of the planning application to the Local Planning Authority, Carmarthenshire County Council.
