Glascoed Weir Fish Passage Improvements

Announcement of intention not to prepare an environmental statement (Regulation 5 of the Environmental Impact Assessment (Land Drainage Improvement Works) Regulations 1999 as amended by SI 2005/1399 and SI 2006/618)

What we're doing?

Natural Resources Wales gives notice that it proposes to carry out works to improve fish passage on the Afon Cynllaith river near Llansilin, at NGR SJ216282. The proposed works will involve the construction of a bypass channel to enable passage upstream of the 3.3m high, stone, pitched weir.

Environmental impact

Natural Resources Wales considers that the improvement works are not likely to have significant effects on the environment and does not intend to prepare an environmental statement in respect of them. An Ecological Scoping Report and Water Framework Directive Preliminary Assessment have been produced.
