South Wales leaflet

Find out how to get a copy of our leaflet and plan your visit to a forest or National Nature Reserve in South Wales

Our South Wales leaflet

South Wales is home to many National Nature Reserves with the finest examples of wildlife habitats and geological features.

Our South Wales leaflet features some of the best ones to visit from the rugged grandeur of Craig Cerrig Gleisiad in the Brecon Beacons to the huge dunes at Merthyr Mawr and the dramatic cliffs at Stackpole to the award-winning beach at Oxwich.

The forest parks and peaceful woodlands in South Wales have waymarked walking trails, ranging from relaxing riverside strolls to more strenuous treks.

Our trails take you through the beautiful woodlands of the Wye Valley with historic viewpoints and to some of the most spectacular waterfalls in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

There are several all-ability routes, family cycle trails and some of the best mountain biking in Britain in Afan Forest Park and Cwmcarn Forest.
