North West Wales facing disruption from heavy rain

Natural Resources Wales is advising people in north west Wales to be aware of difficult driving conditions as they are out and about preparing for Christmas.

The Met Office has forecast continued rainfall this evening, overnight and into tomorrow which could cause localised flooding of road surfaces, disruption to travel and possible flooding to low-lying land.

The recent heavy rain has left the ground saturated and further rain could cause rivers to rise, NRW will issue flood alerts and warnings if required.

People travelling are advised to take extra care and allow extra time for their journey as driving conditions may be hazardous.

NRW is advising people to keep an eye on weather reports and local news for details of any disruption in their area.

Flood alerts and flood warnings are updated on the Natural Resources Wales website every 15 minutes and are available to view on this page.
