Heavy rain could cause disruption

Natural Resources Wales is asking people to be alert for possible flooding as the Met Office has forecast heavy rain overnight and lasting until Friday.

The rain is expected to be heaviest across mid, north and west Wales and could cause localised flooding of road surfaces, disruption to travel and flooding of low lying land.

There is also a low risk of flooding to isolated individual properties.

The recent heavy rain has left the ground saturated and further rain could cause rivers to rise, NRW will issue flood alerts and warnings if required.

People travelling are advised to take extra care and allow extra time for their journey as driving conditions may be hazardous.

NRW is advising people to keep an eye on weather reports and local news for details of any disruption in their area.

Flood alerts and flood warnings are updated on the Natural Resources Wales website every 15 minutes and are available to view on this page
